Anti-Christ?

An Arch Bishop mentioned that the Philippine President, Noynoy Aquino, is an anti-Christ. PNoy is the only son of my heroes, and I was one of those millions who voted for him for President.  Is he an anti-Christ? Am I an anti-Christ who voted for an anti-Christ? It doesn't bothers me much if I am; for in knowing, I can change to become a better person, if being an anti-Christ is really that bad. But before we could determine whether PNoy is indeed an anti-Christ or not; first, let us look into the meaning of the word anti-Christ? 

We can easily conclude, as the term implies, that the anti-Christ, if do exist, is a person who is against the teaching of Christ. The next question therefore is what is the teaching of Christ? In the Holy Bible Jesus Christ said, “My first and foremost commandment is that you love The Father with all your heart, your whole mind, your whole being”. This is the teaching of Christ. Anyone who is following this teaching is pro-Christ; and anyone who is against it is an anti-Christ, regardless of his nationality, social status, and religion. Contrary to the popular belief, anti Christ is not a single person; anyone can be an anti-Christ. In fact, we can even conclude that majority of the whole world population are anti-Christ. I mean who among us (including me) had ever made an honest decision within himself to make God’s will a priority of his actions and existence. Moreover, who amongst us can say that he loves God more than anyone else, even more than he loves himself? Only few I guess would honestly admit that he is, for even the Bible states that the road to perfection is narrow while the road to hell is wide. Although having said that, we all know that all legions has a leader as some alligators, with bigger fangs and longer tails, are more powerful than the other. The anti-Christ therefore is the leader of the pack of anti-Christos, of those who doesn’t want to serve God.

We can only correct a mistake if we know that we committed a mistake, and we can only cure a disease if we determine that we are ill. Our real ailment is materialism; and to cure it, we need help from the “Supreme Physician” and from His empowered associates. Unfortunately, most people do not know that they are severely inflicted with the disease of worldliness and they do not want to be cured. And not only that, some are so demoniac that they have gone up into a point of enhancing and exploiting the material affliction of others for their own benefits.

One should meditate and honestly ask himself, “am I following Christ teaching or not?” and everyone should know exactly what he or she is fighting for. We should not let ourselves fooled and misled by those who knew exactly what they are but pretend to be the opposite. A quite number of people will do and use everything including God for the sake of fame, money, and power.

Is P-Noy an Anti-Christ? This post is about the divisive Reproductive Health Bill that divides a country. Let’s analyze PNoy’s religious structure by the structure of the bill itself. Lets determine whether the Reproductive Health Bill is against the will of God or not; because if it is against the will of God, then it is unchristian, therefore, it is an anti-Christ bill. And it would be too much, needless, and unkind for anyone to speak of what he thinks of those proponents of the Bill are. The prime author of the Bill, Congressman Edcel Lagman, made it clear that the Bill is not about religion; therefore, it has nothing to do with God.

The determining factor therefore is the Bill; and both camps (pro and anti RH Bill) are convinced that they are doing the right thing. Both camps are calling each other with names; fanatics, nonbelievers, superstitious, irreligious, backwards, lost, etc. To make it easier to comprehend, the issue is not really about right or wrong but more on whether it is Godly or not. At this state, the truth lies in everyone’s heart and comprehensions; but the naive will have an insight on where the truth is.

Providence has a way of revealing things, as some religious sectors had entered the logical battlefield of the bill; and I noticed that even so-called faith can be in the mode of ignorance or demoniac. Religion can be but a political arm of the powerful, which induces them to play blind. Sadly, for us sinners, in every law particularly in the law of Godliness, ignorance is not an excuse. Nothing happens by accident and without a reason; and heaven or hell is only a matter of choice.  However, God, who has millions of names and one of those names is Allah is a compassionate God. (Allah means compassionate God.) There is no such thing as eternal hell, and even the demons of today can be the saints of tomorrow. And hope is the only thing that remains when seemingly; even love and faith are gone.
